On the Trail!WHAT IS IT?
An 11-state trail that traces the legendary 1803-1805 Corps of Discovery Expedition lands acquired by the United States through the Louisiana Purchase. The trail fastidiously follows Meriwether Lewis and William Clark's journey to the Pacific Ocean and return to St. Louis.

The route has frequent signs, a plethora of museums (both public and private) and countless things to do. We have come up with 40. We've included all 33 of the sites with a Lewis and Clark NHT National Parks Passport stamp on this list. If there are more stamps out there, hopefully they're at the other 7 locations we picked. Please don't quote us on that number. The whims of missing stamps are unpredicatable.

So, here are our prime Lewis and Clark NHT stops. But be careful. You might catch Lewis and Clark fever. Here is the main symptom: when you see a brown L&C sign you get excited and reflexively imitate one of the explorers' poses. We had the fever bad. The only cure is relocating to the east coast.
